Lotus Trésor Marie
Lotus Trésor Marie is an award winning poet and born in Wassenaar, The Netherlands on a beautiful spring morning, April 8th 1979.
In her earliest memories, she would find herself daydreaming and writing stories on the beach or at her parent’s retreat. Private memories of her mother, her father, and brother were transitioned into short stories. Her mother holds memories of how her grand father and Lotus Trésor followed a self-built kite, and the track in the sky - merging with the colors of a playful sun. Lotus Trésor would tease her grandfather while playing with the sand between her toes. Her grandfather said: “look into her eyes, and you can see that she’s dancing with the stars and the wind in a place you and I still have to discover”.
Although Lotus Trésor obtained a Ph.D. in Business Management, her ability to share the journey of her soul on paper became imperative for the young professional. She establish a successful careers in several countries, fostered by the encouragement of her parents, she traveled to discover the treasures of diversity and culture. She found a home in several municipals, such as Paris – France; Oranjestad - Aruba; Nairobi – Kenya.
In 2006, she relocated with her daughter to United States where she became a resident of a suburban in the DC Metro Area. She started to write poetry again.
In 2007, Lotus Trésor was astonished and inspired by an individual she met. Although her daughter is a well spring of inspiration, the individual became her muse. As a foreigner, she experienced complications in delivering and expressing her most inner and private thoughts. Her poetry became a new home and sacred place. Lotus Trésor is known for her charming shyness but she confides her sensuality to you in her work. The poems are so intimate that you feel that she, and her muse of inspiration come to life. Lotus Trésor’s poetry style is influenced by her European and Asian heritage. Some of her poetry touch your heart, and take your breath away, some will make you smile.
This beautiful journey resulted in “A Garden of Memories”. Please look out for her book “A Garden of Memories” which is a beautiful and endless journey you and I will never forget.
