The last year has been hard. I thought getting over you would be easy. Even with several continents between us I still find myself thinking of you everyday. I know I am idealizing our relationship. I even know that had we stayed together it would probably be over by now anyway. I also know we will probably never see each other again. I left the proverbial ball in your court when we last spoke. You’ll always know how to find me, at least until I leave the service. I want you to know that a small part of me will always miss you being a part of my life. They say time heals all wounds but this one will never heal; the pain will get dull with time, but never fully heal. I need to thank you though. I had been living the better part of my life without actually living it; moving through it instead on auto pilot. You made me realize that happiness is possible. I’m going to go out and find it; I hope you find it too. I wish you the best in life. If our paths should cross again I hope we can be friends again.

One day the moon said to me,
if she makes u cry,
why don’t u leave here ?
I told the moon !
Moon would u ever leave your sky
Take my eyes but let me see you
Take my mind but let me think
about you Take my hands but let
me touch you But if you want to
take my heart its already yours

every day i try and find a new and original way to tell you i love you because every day i feel it stronger and stronger. we dislike and avoid cliches but at the end of the day ‘i love you’ will always say it all.
i described you in two words after our first day together ‘the one’ and i mean that more than ever.
i knew you were perfect before we were together and i’m more sure of it every day.
i told you i was in love with you early on in our relationship even though it was silly, but it was the truth.
we are perfect together, we both know it, and we know nobody has quite what we have. we are blessed and i am so thankful that my destiny is you. although i’m moving away, my love isn’t going anywhere. i am your girlfriend and best friend forever..until i can become your wife.
just remember one thing baby, i love you.

Your Message: Well I am going to start this story with the world’s oldest cliché because coming from a woman – it is not a cliché at all. So, here goes …
Ali was the most beautiful man I had ever seen in my whole life. He was one of those not so tall, fit, lazily smart and exquisitely beautiful man who win women’s hearts with a mere flick of their eyebrows or a drop of their eyelids.
We happened to be neighbors at the club we both went to.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that a sizeable portion of the female population in the immediate vicinity was transformed into ardent admirers of Ali within a negligibly short period of time. Among all the admirers who approached him, none was outright rejected, but Ali was careful to watch his step and never committed anything to anyone.
You could see them sitting in moonlit gardens, hand in hand, looking at the moon or at each other…
As the months went by, Maha passed her school cert exam. She was a ravishingly beautiful by that time, eating her way easily into boys’ and men’s hearts alike. Well, Maha did not do all that consciously or intentionally, just her beauty and charm did it all for her. As for herself, she was a young woman of twenty at that time, in the full bloom of youth, eager to meet the world head-on and find out what it had in store for her.
In time, she fell in love with the guy she saw at the club. There was no particular feature that could single Ali out from the multitude of suitors who craved for Maha’s attention except for the fact that he was a poet of sorts and mysterious one at that.
His poems of life appealed to her in a way that was markedly different from the way her other suitors wooed her. Its different, if you happened to ask her.
Within a short time, both were stupidly in love with each other and became rather involved in acts generally associated with individuals who are slightly soft in the head. You could see them sitting in moonlit gardens, hand in hand, looking at the moon or at each other for God knows what amount of time. Imaginarily.
Their initial infatuation with each other ultimately matured into a fine affair. Maha and Ali were deeply in love and were finding it increasingly difficult to stay away from each other. When he was away from him, Maha would read his letters, most of which were love poem(hopingly praising the arch of her brows, the chiseled finery of his features, the nectar of his breath and softness of his embrace. Well, um…I got to know all this because he forced me to see some of his passions and appreciate his technology prowess.
The months rolled by, and both changed. Just like that. Physical and emotional accidents generally occur without any prior ceremony and Ali was alive one moment and dead the next.
It is better to move quickly over the predictable aftermath. Maha became almost a recluse, hardly coming out of her room and refusing to accept the hard truth. Anyway, time mellows even the worst sorrow, so in a few time, she started interacting normally, but mentally, she was shattered and drained of all emotions.
Everybody felt sorry for her, because they had always felt that she and Ali were made for each other and it was really painful to see her alone, drained, listless, moving around like a zombie. She reminded me of a movie called ‘Lacemaker’ in which a woman had undergone a similar metamorphosis under deep personal sorrow and anguish.
I love you forever
