I said it. You know I find it hard expressing myself but I found the courage and did it. Who knows what could have happened…that one moment was 4 years in the making. But you were receptive about it and didn’t run for your life…you weren’t even phased by it. We just get on so well…how could the question not have been raised before?

The words got stuck a few times in my throat, and I think it all came out wrong. It would have been stupid if I’d said it there and then, but this is what I really meant:

I love your smile…never was there a better one.

I love how you shaped me into a better person without even realising you had done it, and having the patience with me to do it.

I love your little giggles.

I love your imagination.

I love your hugs.

I secretly love it when you laugh at my jokes, no matter how bad they are.

I love how you didn’t just sit and judge me by my cover, but read the story, unlike so many other people…thank you.

And I’m glad I took the time to get to know you too…because you’re misunderstood by a lot of people as well, aren’t you?

I love it how we can talk for ages and laugh really hard about things that aren’t really funny, but we don’t care and laugh anyway.

I love it that you passed off an opportunity to show everyone just how beautiful you are, because you just don’t care what ‘everyone’ thinks.

I love the little face you make…the one I can’t describe in words.

I loved how happy you were when I sent you flowers…your happiness was infectious.

It’s 3am and I’m all out. I’m sure I could think of more but not right now. But I love you…and wouldn’t change you one teeny tiny bit for the world.

So I told you, and I hope you feel the same way. Guess I’ll find out for sure soon enough…your first answer was a vague one. People like you will probably never come along again, and I don’t want to let you slip away. Yes I’ve waited a long time, but you’re a person worth waiting for.
