Dear Daddy,

Since you passed away I’ve been so very lonely at times. I see you in my mind a dozen times a day. You’ve been gone eight years now - sometimes it feels like only days while at other times it feels like forever. I hurt when I watched you fade but I was relieved to see your pain end.

Every day you are with me. I hear your laugh when someone tells me something I know you’d find funny. I see your proud smile when one of the kids does something special. I feel your presence when I’m scared or sad. I think of you when I eat things you loved. I dream of you sometimes when I sleep at night.

One of your greatest dreams was to see my first born son (even though you were so blissfully happy with my three beautiful daughters). I’m happy to say he’s four months old now Daddy and he has your eyes. I hope that wherever you are you can see him and know that he is so special.

I miss you Daddy, I miss your warm arms hugging me and I miss your never ending support. You were the best father ever and I’ll never let go of that. I hope and pray that someday we meet again.
